An opportunity for a Planning Engineer to take a lead role in the development of a new OP operation in the North West of WA. Reporting to the Mine Development Manager and utilising your 5+ years Planning experience you will head up this venture involving

• Managing and updating the Mine Plan
• Producing long term schedules
• Define and develop haulage profiles
• Optimise heavy equipment selection and Owner/Operator scenarios
• Coordinate, produce, and monitor production plans
• Produce and monitor budgetary constraints

With the successful integration into this role will come the option of a Technical Perth based role within 18 months or options to move into Alt and or Mine Management position within the same time period as other resources are developed.
Initially Perth based, after approx 6 months the role will move to fifo to site. This small to medium sized operator will give you the opportunity you simply wont get at larger organisations unless you have 15+ years experience. Either use this as a stepping stone to technical or consultancy roles or make a career within an aggressive resource company and move to very senior positions quickly.

Plan and develop targets to benefit production in this advanced open pit environment.

You will be a hands-on mining Engineer with a pro-active approach, having 5 - 7 years open pit experience preferably Gold or Base Metals combined with technical planning and scheduling expertise.

Opportunity for an engineer that has finished their UG time to get some drill and blast experience on a large site with plenty of backup. Get involved in production drill designs, stope and rise charge plans, stope designs, short term production scheduling and ventilation. A good couple of years here will see you with a solid production background enabling you to move to planning or sit your First Class and climb the ladder on the production side.
A huge UG operation means backup is never too far away and engineers get to focus on their specific field rather than being stretched across different disciplines. Its good industry name also looks great on the CV when its time to move on and will help open doors.

• Design drill patterns, charge plans and tie-ins for blast patterns.
• Compile monthly and weekly costing reports and budget conformance
• Compile weekly drill and blast schedule in liaison with short term planners and blasting contractor.
• Liaise with short term planners for 3 monthly plans
• Liaise with blasting contractor for compliance
• Conduct quality assurance audits of drill and blast practices. Revise and rework drill and blast procedures.
• Mentorship and supervision of other engineers if you’re up to it.

The right engineer should bring 2+ years experience and Vulcan software exposure is also an advantage.
